Pretty impressive book for a level 2 Chinese reader. I've been taking lessons for about 2 years (with some previous lessons in high school 10 years ago). I was looking for something where I would learn a few new words, but primarily grammar.You're able to finish this book within a week of reading, while learning Chinese grammar. I ended up buying the other book as well since I thought that it was effective. Personally I think the title is a bit bogus since I have no interest in selling software, but the content within the book is actually quite interesting.

Highly recommed the Chinese breeze series.
I have enjoyed this reader. I will buy other volumes in the same series.
The book is great--very appropriate for Chinese learners at the second year level and beneficial in reinforcing vocabulary and grammar learned. The binding is rather disappointing, however. It cracks way to easily.
An excellent book for the student of the Chinese language. It's well written, and well thought-out. If you're used to reading only text books, this book will be a pleasant change of pace. Most of the words are familiar, but much of the phrasing and expressions are new and less formal than textbook Chinese.
I really am enjoying this so far. Chinese being a difficult language to keep going with, I like the repetition of the characters as you learn them to aid in cementing them in my mind. The story is simple enough, but memorable and relevant to words you need in everyday life. Pleased with this purchase!
